Katharine Asher - Digipak Artwork

Katharine Asher is an established 21st century freelance illustrator and designer, specializing in fashion and figurative work. Katharine Asher has worked as a freelancer within illustration, film and design for many years, specialising in figurative work. Her training at Harrow College of Art was mainly focused on strong traditional drawing skills, the ability to think in three dimensions and a thorough understanding of anatomy and movement. She has attracted work from a wide variety of commercial sources from publishing and advertising to film. She uses a very unique style which we think would work really well within our digipak. Below are a few images of Katherine's work. I really like the way she doesn't always finish the brush stroke, yet the strokes she uses are so delicate. 

 I also found some images that would work really well through our digipak. She always has created extreme close ups of eyes and lips. This is a good way to allow our star image of the purple eye to come through. The drawings are very simplistic which also allows us to show more of the star image as our artist is a very simplistic girl. Using Katharine's style allows us to uses images from the video and create them into our own version of Katharine's work for our digipak and advert.
